Sandpipers South Bay Community Fund

Founded in 2000, the fund’s purpose is to one day dramatically increase the breadth and depth of Sandpipers’ assistance to individuals, families, community and educational causes, and nonprofit organizations in the local community.

Donations to this fund are invested so that grants may be made from the fund’s annual investment income.  The fund will increase through both capital appreciation and continued donations.  As the principal grows, so does the interest income, producing a philanthropic wellspring from which to nurture our community.

Why a Community Fund?

The Sandpipers South Bay Community Fund was created as an additional commitment to serving our local community – now, and in the future.  Through the fund, Sandpipers will be able to begin important and much needed new initiatives that help more people in more ways, while assuring that we always meet our goals of:

  •  Encouraging and expanding philanthropic outreach in the South Bay.
  •  Ensuring the continuation and growth of our core programs and community commitment by providing funding that is stable and predictable.
  •  Providing donors a means of expressing their community concern by leaving a special legacy of charitable support that will exist in perpetuity.

Where can you direct your donation?

The Sandpipers South Bay Community Fund offers you the opportunity to direct your support to specific philanthropic goals such as:

  • Community development and growth – grants to strengthen and expand new and existing services in the South Bay
  •  Casework and special needs programs – provides emergency aid to worthy members of our community who are in crisis
  •  Educational scholarships for South Bay students
  •  Senior Assistance Fund - helps provide assistance to the elderly
  •  Unrestricted – where the need is greatest.

A donation to the Sandpipers South Bay Community Fund is a permanent gift to your community and to the future.   Please donate now or for additional information about the Sandpipers South Bay Community Fund, please contact:
