Hermosa Beach Proclamation

November 14, 2019, Sandpipers was proud to receive a Proclamation from the Mayor of Hermosa Beach, Stacey Armato, in honor of Founders’ Day and 88 years of philanthropy and community service in the South Bay. A proclamation is an official declaration issued by a government official or body. We are so thankful for this recognition!

COVID-19 Response

Sandpipers found out from one of our agency partners, the Volunteer Center that there was a home for underprivileged seniors, Casa de Los Amigos here in Redondo Beach that was in desperate need of resources, including quarters for laundry given the Covid-19 pandemic. Project: Needs

A Sandpiper works with Project NEEDS to provide free meals to approximately 150 individuals who are either homeless or low income every Tuesday. Project NEEDS also provides clothing and hygiene items. We packed 40 lunch sacks with PBJ sandwiches, fruit or other healthy snacks, and bottled water.
