Director of Holiday Homes Tour
I joined Sandpipers in 2020 during the height of Covid. I was eagerly seeking connection and a way to give back to my local community in a time when I was feeling helpless. Sandpipers managed to not only give me that, but so much more… As a child raised in a single-parent household with an incarcerated father, the pressure to succeed and elevate our family always weighed on me. I ultimately became a first-generation college student and remained active in extra-curricular and service activities throughout my schooling.
Through Sandpipers, that pressure to succeed started to not only ease, but become fulfilled. Assisting others started to feel natural and easy. I was able to engage in activities and interactions that brought me authentic joy and left me feeling complete.
I have served as a Holiday Homes Tour Facilitating Committee member, a Holiday Homes Tour Facilitating Chair and an Auction Chair. This year, I am truly honored to be bringing it back to where it all began for me. The Holiday Homes Tour is where I fell in love with Sandpipers, and I’m honored to be serving as the Director of our biggest annual fundraiser. I can’t wait to see our community rally together to raise funds for those that need it most, all the while enjoying a beautiful local tradition.
