A South Bay native, I became involved with Sandpipers in 2010 and have since taken a variety of leadership positions. I joined Sandpipers because I wanted to get more involved in my community. Everything from the friendships and committee work, to the fundraisers and community service opportunities, has continued to inspire me. I’ve seen the effect of our work, and it’s one of the most rewarding feelings to know that our efforts have such an impact in our community and in the lives of those in need.

Like most moms, when I am not working or volunteering, you can find me at home trying to find balance in the chaos that kids bring and the “me time” that everyone swears by. Volunteering has given me the opportunity to show my family how to give back. It also gives me an excuse to get out of the house, away from the kids, while doing something good for others. Sometimes wine is involved. It’s really a win-win.
