Senior Past Co-President / Scholarship

I joined Sandpipers in 2012 after moving to the South Bay from Australia, I didn’t know anyone in the South Bay and was looking to meet friends and give back to my community. I had no idea that 12 years later I would still be involved in Sandpipers. It was my privilege to serve as 91st Co President last year and on the Sandpiper Board for 5 years. Many things in Sandpipers have changed in 93 years, yet many things remained the same. We are still a 100% volunteer organization with a membership that is dedicated to helping those in our community through community service and fundraising events.
I’m excited to have the honor of chairing our Scholarship Committee, with Joyce Chaput carrying on the program that was started in 1941, and is the oldest continuing scholarship program in the South Bay. This program is a great example for our members and the community of why we do what we do.
