Co-President's Message
While times have changed as we’ve evolved over the last ninety years, Sandpipers remains the same in all of the most important ways. Sandpipers is and always will be about community, compassion and camaraderie. A group of hard-working, like-minded women coming together to create meaningful change right here at home.
“In the midst of our fourth year, I am happy to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the wholehearted unselfish cooperation that has been extended by the entire membership. This cooperation has always characterized our many activities, and it is with great pride that I point to the outstanding accomplishments accordingly made possible.
In looking ahead, may we ever remember the ideals and purposes for which our club was founded and strive enthusiastically for even greater achievements.”
- Carolyn Barnes – President’s Message 1935
Our theme this year, Every Act Matters, reflects this very essence of Sandpipers. We honor all of you, our community, our members, our donors, our sponsors, and our partners, and the many acts that call us to something greater than ourselves and inspire others to do the same.
Every act of courage, kindness, fortitude, and generosity. The big ones and even the small ones that nobody will ever know about.
They all matter.
Desmund Tutu once said, "Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good, put together, that overwhelm the world."
We invite you to join us in our mission to strengthen our community in whatever way you can. One beautiful act at a time.
With gratitude,
Laura Brodeur and Micall Weinberg
