Pediatric Therapy Network
Empowering families, touching lives, bringing hope.
Pediatric Therapy Network (PTN) helps children with special needs and medical conditions by providing therapies that increase each child’s abilities to live a more fulfilling and independent life. PTN serves children of all abilities, including those with an autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, developmental delays, orthopedic and neurological challenges, and sports-related injuries.
Sandpipers provides PTN with various support for their events, such as volunteering at their summer camp named Camp Escapades and their annual fundraising event. We painted their waiting room with a beautiful mural of the African Sahara, partnering with Nicole Blackburn from Celadon Studio Fine Art. We also provide stuffed bunnies each year for their Egg Hunt for children and families.
Family Promise Day of Service
Transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness. Because every child deserves a home.
Family Promise is a community-based approach to solving homelessness, engaging both the local community as well as faith-based organizations in an effort to effectively remedy family homelessness. Families in their program receive a full complement of resources, support, and training as they work towards their own stability and self-reliance.
Families are invited to participate in the Sandpipers’ Holiday Baskets Program each year. We have redecorated and improved their “family room” through a Day of Service project and supported several families through Emergency Casework.
Mychal’s Learning Place
Encouraging Independence
Mychal’s Learning Place provides the support, training and opportunities to youth and young adults with developmental disabilities to build their independence and pursue their goals and dreams.
Sandpipers’ Day of Service included painting and fixing up the garden and office, baking with the youth, and volunteering at their annual fundraisers.
