When I moved to the South Bay, I wanted to find a place where I could make friends as well as get involved in the community, and I found that in Sandpipers. I have met the most amazing, hard working, dedicated women and been inspired by the impact we have on our local community to help those who really need it. I love that we give people a “hand up” and not a “hand out”.
This year is my 9th year as an active member and I’m looking forward to serving as the Director of Donor Relations. I’m excited to connect us with our supporters and share all the amazing things that we’re doing throughout the year. In the past, I have served as Auction Chair, Fashion Show Chair, Sponsorship VP, Planning & Placement VP and on our Nominating Leadership and Development team.
My favorite Sandpiper event is Holiday Baskets where we get to shop for a family in need and deliver them a carload full of gifts and essentials to celebrate the holidays. It has been especially rewarding to do this event with my daughter who is a Sandpiper Junior.
When I’m not pipering, I spend time with my family, which includes my husband, Mark, and 3 daughters and Boston Terrier, Winston. We enjoy going out to eat at local restaurants, spending time at the beach and finding new hikes in the area.
