Philanthropy has been a top priority for me for quite some time.  Being raised by a single mother of 6 who needed assistance for a period, I understand the feeling of not knowing where your next meal may come from, if your utilities will be turned off or if you will have the ability to buy school supplies, let alone think about attending college.  My life today is much different then back then, I have an incredibly loving and supportive husband, 2 beautiful, healthy children and a life in the South Bay I could never have imagined, but I have never forgotten the days of my childhood and what it felt like to be in a desperate situation, so when I learned about Sandpipers through a friend, I knew I had to be a part of this incredible organization.  

 

I joined Sandpipers in 2018 and have enjoyed every minute.  I love being surrounded by strong, independent women with a like-minded love for giving back. I have gained so many amazing friendships and learned so much from the women in this group and the fun we have along the way is just icing on the cake. 

 

I have served as Auction Committee Member, Holiday Baskets, Baskets Solicitations Chair, Holiday Baskets, Assistant to VP Chair, and Fashion Show Ticket Sales Chair for 2 years.  This year, I’m excited and honored to be the Director of the Fashion Show, one of Sandpipers biggest fundraisers.  I can’t wait to see the funds raised help those who need it most.
