Renee Armstrong
Special Fundraising and Events VP
I am a local from the Southbay and began volunteering for Sandpipers in 2020 during the pandemic. I was driven by a desire to connect with like-minded women who were eager to make a difference in such a challenging time. Raised with a strong emphasis on doing mitzvahs (good deeds), I’ve always believed in the importance of giving back and supporting those in need. Joining Sandpipers felt like a natural extension of these values.
I’ve had the privilege of participating in the Sugarplum Committee, co-chaired the Philanthropy Committee, served as a member of the Nomination and Leadership Development Committee (NLD), and chaired as the Assistant to the Holiday Homes Tour Director. Each role has allowed me to contribute in meaningful ways.Through each of these experiences, I’ve not only been able to support local families in need but also have found lifelong friendships that I cherish more than anything.
I am honored to have been chosen to be the Special Fundraising & Events VP. For me, volunteering with Sandpipers is about honoring the values with which I was raised, giving back to the community that has shaped me, connecting with others, and being part of a supportive network that makes a real difference in real time.
